The stuffed cheese burger is one of the most mouth-watering burgers you might ever wrap your laughing gear around. The combination of ingredients like chopped onions, slices of tomatoes, cheese, lean ground beef, bacon, black pepper, assembled in a hamburger bun…Wicked!
The Stuffed Cheese Burger Does Have Health Benefits
But Stop Press…Ingredients found in the stuffed cheese burger have heaps of health benefits. For instance, black pepper contains anti-inflammatory agents, vitamins, nutrients and phytonutrients which can help soothe the tummy. Onions contain antioxidants which are anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral agents. Surprised?
So most of the ingredients found in the stuffed cheese burgers are healthy, although a few of them like cheese, beef and bacon are a worry as they contain high amounts of fats and calories.

So here I’ve got:
- a half kilo of beef mince
- and add to this one egg
- half a cup of bread crumbs
- half a finely diced onion
- salt and pepper
- 3 tbspns of your favourite hot sauce
- Cheddar cheese cut into smaller pieces for the insides of the burgers
- Cheddar cheese slices for on top of the burger
Mix this together well. Place the mixture into the fridge for half an hour so those flavours can all come together. And once out of the fridge just roll them into 8 equal size balls. So on some baking paper, just flatten these into round baking patties. Then place a couple of smaller size cheese on top of one of the patties. Place another patty on top and then seal it well around the outside.
And repeat this for both of the burgers.
So now I’ve got a barbeque grill heated up nice and hot and I’m going to sear off those burgers. And once they’re seared on both sides I’m just going to move them to the other side of the barbeque so they’re not over the hot coals. Place some more cheese on top then cook with the lid down for 5 – 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
Meanwhile I’m going to get a sesame bread roll and cut it into three slices. And when those burgers are nearly done, I’m just going to lightly toast those rolls over the coals.
Now it’s time to assemble our burger. So get the bottom bun, one of the patties, some tomato, some hot sauce. Place the middle bun on top, a bit of mayonnaise, some fresh lettuce and the second patty topped with hot sauce. Now place on the top of part of the bun and you are done!
Now of course you can make a single stack if you like, use any salads or sauces you like as well. It’s not that healthy but it tastes fantastic. So give it a go and enjoy your stuffed cheese burger!
